Positive Detroit!

A (quick) thought on Detroit's graduating seniors
Earlier this week, almost 300 Detroit Public School graduating seniors were honored at COBO Hall during the Excellence Awards. In order to have attended the ceremony the student had to have maintained at least a 3.5 GPA throughout his or her high school career, 16 of those students had all A’s.

A (brief) thought on the “right-sizing” of Detroit...
I have seen this topic come up countless times in regards to Detroit while surfing across the vast blogosphere as of late. Obviously with so much empty and vacant land to work with there is a ton of room for opportunity, be it urban agriculture, so called “greenways,” parks, newly developed neighborhoods or urban villages and the list could go on.
