TIME’s Detroit Blog did a nice job gathering all of the various online reactions to the Dateline special that aired this past Sunday on NBC.  There seems to be stark contrasts in reactions from local metro Detroiters to the special.

The Detroit Free Press ran a story asking people to sound off on why they love Detroit and received numerous heartfelt, witty and nostalgic responses while The Detroit News posted a rant on it’s blog from a local Detroiter and activist claiming the piece was apparently nothing more than a classic “blame the victim” scenario.  

I honestly still have not had a chance to see the entire program so I’ll hesitate to comment.
